What a FUN day!! Thanks to everyone who came out to help break in the new studio We raised almost $600 for the Susan G Komen Foundation! YAY! A few peeks from the day…

Sweet Miss Madeline- always happy to be photographed! We had so much fun at her 1yr session this fall, I knew she’d be a hoot!

Miss Abby is the niece of one of my closest friends, Lynda. She looks so much like her mom and auntie!  Abby is a little shy, but a total sweetheart and to date the easiest 2yr old I’ve ever had to photograph

It was fun to see how much he’s grown since his newborn session! Austin is going to be a BIG boy- he’s already so tall!

I haven’t seen this smiling face since her 1yr old session, and she has changed so much! Definitely two years old- a favorite age of mine

LuaClaire is going to keep her mom on her toes!! Only 7m old and already crawling! She has the same sweet little face she did as a newborn.

Meet adorable, 1month old, Miss I. Cutie-patootie who’s red hair fits doesn’t quite match her sweet, calm disposition. Of course, there’s always time for her Scottish spunkiness to kick in.  :)

Thanks to everyone for making my 1st year of holiday mini-sessions a big success. They went so smoothly and I will definitely be adding them to my “to-do” list for next fall as well. The MN Landscape Arboretum worked out really well for the sessions, I’m so glad I decided to get the permit this year, it provided such amazing locations and scenery!

Mr. C is adorable as can be with his light blond hair and bright blue eyes. It was a brisk fall day, but he was a great trooper!

Meet the much awaited Aidan- the newest member of the Duffing clan. I know I’m biased but isn’t he just BEAUTIFUL?? He looks so much like his 3 sisters when they were born- just a boy version!

Aidan we are so happy you are finally here!!

I just had to do these as a little series cause they totally crack me UP!

What a fun time! The weather was semi-cooperative and the location of course is just gorgeous!! I love shooting out at the Arboretum, so many amazing places to investigate.

I love photographing babies with their parents- and often do a lot of mom+baby portraits. Dad’s are typically much more camera shy. When A’s mom told me she really wanted some skin-on-skin shots of their baby boy with his dad I was SO excited!! I love doing these type of images, as not nearly enough dad’s are willing! So he is going to be a little heavily favored in this blog post in hopes it entices more dad’s to go shirtless in their sessions!

I love photographing babe’s in arms as it’s a great way to show in scale how small they were!

Mom had ordered this cute little bear hat on Etsy, and it was scheduled to arrive the day of the session- so she kept stalking the mailbox and sure enough towards the end of the session at just the perfect time it arrived!

It’s been 6months since I’ve seen Mr. *C* and oh how much he’s grown!!! At his newborn session (seen here) he was so tiny and new with lots of dark hair. Now he’s a mellow little guy who’s seems to be always content! 6months is one of my favorite stages to photograph- they can sit so proudly and have that perfect little cherub face

What a fun fun FUN session! It was a double session, combining both a newborn photoshoot and her twin sisters 3yr old photos. 3 beautiful girls- shy but sweet as can be

First up- the big sisters! When mom told me how they love to fly around the yard with their fairy wings- I thought what a GREAT idea to use them in the photosession!

I typically don’t use actual names on my blog, with the one exception being my friends’ newborns- I pretty much always out them THIS is the newest little love to our little close-knit group of friends. I’ve known his mom for….um….over 20yrs (WOW) and she’s one of my favorite people on the planet, and I’m so happy for her and her hubby that my heart could burst

So meet 10day old Jacob:

Someday I WANT a scale just like this….2+ years ago when I photographed Jacob’s brother as a newborn (seen here ) I saw this on their table and HAD to use it for the photographs. So this time- when they drove from WI to here for the session they brought it with them- I was SO excited. Thanks A’s mom for letting me use it again (and, ahem, when you’re done with it you know where you can donate it to….maybe someday?? )

These two boys were sweet as can be and just sooooo adorable!!!
It was my longest newborn session ever- but I enjoyed every minute

Little Miss *L* came to visit all the way from Ottawa Canada! In town for her auntie’s college graduation, I had the pleasure of a photoshoot on a sunny morning at the U of MN. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there and I always love it- for one it’s a great location for a session, and for two, as a alum myself I love to visit

5 months old and so expressive! She was a real trooper- it was a crazy windy morning, most adults were shivering, but her mom+dad did a great job of keeping her warm and happy
