What a FUN day!! Thanks to everyone who came out to help break in the new studio We raised almost $600 for the Susan G Komen Foundation! YAY! A few peeks from the day…

Sweet Miss Madeline- always happy to be photographed! We had so much fun at her 1yr session this fall, I knew she’d be a hoot!

Miss Abby is the niece of one of my closest friends, Lynda. She looks so much like her mom and auntie!  Abby is a little shy, but a total sweetheart and to date the easiest 2yr old I’ve ever had to photograph

It was fun to see how much he’s grown since his newborn session! Austin is going to be a BIG boy- he’s already so tall!

I haven’t seen this smiling face since her 1yr old session, and she has changed so much! Definitely two years old- a favorite age of mine

LuaClaire is going to keep her mom on her toes!! Only 7m old and already crawling! She has the same sweet little face she did as a newborn.

The trio. These triplets are a little younger than my own, but remind me SO much of my crew….it’s good to know mine aren’t the only bunch around that act like this- LOVE it!!  I had to put together a little collage of some of my favorite funny captures

I ALWAYS look forward to sessions with this family, as I know it’s going to be SO much fun! They have the cutest, happiest boys. Big brother P-  I think anytime I’m having a bad day I should just go photograph him, as he always makes me laugh! His twin brothers are just soooo adorable, and are now independent sitters!

First up- the twosome. It doesn’t get much cuter than this!

Thanks to everyone for making my 1st year of holiday mini-sessions a big success. They went so smoothly and I will definitely be adding them to my “to-do” list for next fall as well. The MN Landscape Arboretum worked out really well for the sessions, I’m so glad I decided to get the permit this year, it provided such amazing locations and scenery!

Miss *E* is 16months and cute as a button! I’ve had the pleasure of photographing her a few times in her life, (last seen here) and she just keeps getting cuter! She’s now a full fledged toddler and keeping her parents on their toes We had a blast out at the Arboretum on a beautiful late afternoon. I can always count on E’s mom to bring awesome clothes along for her sessions- and always a hat- it took a little while but finally did get her to wear it!

C , A and E it was fabulous to see you again! Thanks for yet another great session!

Oh how I loooooooove toddlers!! They are just so much fun to photograph! I love how unpredictable they are, and how completely true to themselves they are- you can’t get them to do anything they don’t want to do, and that’s what makes them SO fun to photograph, as you never know what you’re going to get, but you know it’s going to be REAL

Last week my all time favorite musicians, the Indigo Girls, played at Ravinia Park in Chicago. It is quickly becoming a tradition for me to come around that event, stay for a few days with some awesome friends and do some mini-sessions. These are different than my typical sessions in that they are a little more posed- but still lots of fun and I get to meet some of the cutest kids!
This year all my sessions included siblings- some only 2, but also my largest ever a gorgeous family of 6 kids!

I’ve never kept it a secret that I *love* toddlers…there’s just something about that 1-2.5yr range that just makes me smile. I think it’s all that new found confidence and stubborness…the fact that you can’t make them do anything you want- you’re just lucky to be able to hang out with them and watch them do their thing. I love everything about that- it just doesn’t get more real, more honest, than a toddler.

Miss *L* was no exception- what a little darling and I LOVE her little toothy smile
