“Bud”
This cheeky monkey has appeared a few times on my blog- here, here, and here as he belongs to my lovely friend Lynda. He’s at a favorite age of mine- 18months! I just love this age!

One year olds are notoriously discerning in just who they will play with- so I felt honored to be let into her circle
After being a little cautious of me and my big ole camera- she warmed up pretty quickly. I knew I was golden when she sat in my lap.
This one just makes me laugh
Isn’t she a cutie?
Her fluffy little duck hair is soooo precious!
She really loves this book!
Future architect?
This was our 3rd attempt at a session, and they were determined to have it work- despite the freezing temps and sleet
What SUPER troopers they were- I mean seriously- I’ve never met parents and an older sister so able to put on super happy and encouraging faces and it was believable!!! Cold weather be darned! Talk about super attitudes! We met at the Wayzata Depot, which I’ve never been to before but it’s pretty cool! I’ll definitely have to take my kids there sometime…when the weather is warmer
Thanks *G* family for being SO awesome despite the temps- you get a big gold star for positive attitudes!
I still can’t believe you went out for ice cream after….I went home and had a nice big cup of hot tea!
In MN Fall weather is so short, but when it’s here it’s just soooo lovely! We were lucky to have a gorgeous day for their session! One of the last lovely days of the season- considering it’s currently snowing just to the west of us
Big brother *C*- isn’t he handsome?
Sweet Miss *L* who LOVED being photographed!
Baby *K* who was not so interested in being photographed
The entire lovely family!
Meet sweet Mr. P- who is the 2nd P on their street I’ve had the pleasure of photographing! His cute neighbor Miss P, has been seen here. I love shooting in Minneapolis, especially in South Minneapolis…the light there is just so yummy! As my blog regulars know- I have a special affection for toddlers…it probably stems from my years in college I worked as a toddler teacher (in south mpls no less!) but I just LOVE this age. I could have spent all day with Mr. P just listening to him and playing
Isn’t he just so adorable!!
The upside down turtle makes me giggle….
Sigh…..
What a lovely morning in Minneapolis! The weather was very cooperative, and the kids were super troopers! Not to mention super duper cute too
How sweet is she?
I just love those little toothers!
Miss *N* and her 3yr old smile
Mr. *W* and his TDF eyelashes…
Thanks *C* Family!
Aren’t they just gorgeous?? I could spend all day hanging out with Miss *A* and her 3yr old stories and adventures- she’s just such a hoot! I had the pleasure of photographing them this summer- and it was fun to come back in the next season for more outdoor photos!
The whole family in their beautiful woods! Great suggestion J!
The girls
I love EVERYTHING about this photo….
Sweet little Miss W
Mom and A coming down the slide- I just love love LOVE this photo!
I had the pleasure of photographing this little man a few months back for his 6m photos- and what a superstar he was! Well Mr. F had to show off and be even MORE photogenic this time! It’s amazing how much he’s changed in 3months- click here to see him at 6m!
Why is he so happy? He’s looking at his momma of course!
Look at those sweet little toothers!
I love his little tongue in this one
Isn’t she a DOLL??? So cute- and so the typical toddler- too busy to be bothered with photos- But she sure loved playing in the leaves!
I love this time of year- everything just looks so golden and glowy!
I love love LOVE this family photo!
Miss *A* was quite the trooper on this chilly and windy afternoon- but like most typical 2yr olds was go-go-go!! I just love this age- they are such a hoot to photograph, because they do what they want- and we’re lucky to be able to capture it! Most 2yrs olds I photograph rarely sit still for more than 3sec at a time- and Miss *A* was not an exception.
This duo belongs to one of my favorite people- we’ve been friends since- wow- 7th grade gym class. Nothing like bonding over junior high trauma to cement a friendship!
Her two kids are also some of my favorite little people- because they are just so full of joy and personality and so so sweet.
Sweet Miss *M* wanted to be photographed “by the yellow flowers”
Mr *A* is like my own boys- tough to photograph but when you get a genuine smile it’s SO worth it!
And my beloved friend with her munchkins
OH- and Stephie- I changed the song just for you! (They’re doing a Halloween show here again- think we can ditch the kids T or Ting and go?)
Sometimes I have a session, and it leaves me with a feeling of jealousy….why? Because I know I’ve just captured some sibling photos that I would LOVE to have of my own kids!!!! My friends often comment that they wish they could take photos like I do, well I secretly wish I could get as good a group shot of my own kids as I do of others! Sigh…. Sibling shots are notoriously harder to capture than individual photos- but these two…oh my….talk about EASY PEASY!!!
Chrissy I don’t know how you’ll ever choose!
This might be my favorite “throwing leaves” photo- EVER. Look at little *L*’s face!
And one of Mr. *L*- because I think it’s my fave….I just love the way he’s absent mindedly licking his collar at the same time mesmerized by the ducks in the lake…it’s just such the perfect childhood expression to me.
How GORGEOUS are her eyes!!
This one makes me smile
Miss *B* and her beautiful smile
I love the way she’s nervously touching her neck while at the same time laughing…
Okay seriously- how ADORABLE are these two?? They started off a little apprehensive about the whole photoshoot idea, but warmed up pretty quickly and really had fun with it!
Showing some team spirit! T’s crooked glasses just CRACK ME UP!
Miss W and her brilliant smile
I. Want. To. Squeeze. Him.
What makes a 2 and 3 yr old smile like this? A jellyfish on my head of course.
And N- these are for you
I met *N* and her parents at their neighborhood park. I love shooting at locations that have personal meaning for clients- it makes the session that much more fun! Miss *N* had all sorts of stories to tell me about things she loves to do.
Is there anything more fun in the fall?
