The kids and I are back from our week in Cable, WI on the lovely Lake Owen.
A week of fishing, swimming, and spending time with their grandparents. Lovely! I didn’t take many photos, but did manage to read FOUR whole books!! Which I swear hasn’t happened in years. It was so lovely

Little Miss *S* is very much your confident, strong minded three year old. But OH so cute!! I could have spent another hour just listening to her stories and ideas. She’s a hoot! Her little brother *W* is sooooo sweet and seemed to really LOVE having his photo taken! Which makes my job that much easier They are about to move across the country, and mom wanted some photos at their home before they leave. It’s a beautiful home so I understand while they are sad to leave it!
Sibling group shots are notoriously difficult…to try to get both kids to look at you AND not have the older one mauling the younger one, or the younger one crawling off….it’s hard! To be honest, also not usually successful. So I was so excited when we managed to get this one!
I love this one- Miss *S* was pretty done at this point- but after a little chat about her favorite guy Elmo- she was all smiles!

Okay seriously- HOW stinking cute is she!!! 16months and so full of spunk and joy!! She had me laughing SO much with her little personality. I could have chased her around all day just to hear her squeal with laughter over and over again

Family photo sessions with multiple kids can be, ahem, rough. But not in the case of these adorable 3! Of course they also belong to one of my closest friends, so they also know me pretty well
I went to do my usual quick grab a few to put up for the sneak peek…but I couldn’t stop! Too many were just soooo adorable! So it’s a little longer sneak peek than normal. What can I say….yes my friends get preferential treatment

Okay- I realize it’s not THAT different from the old blog, same posts and everything (since I could import them- YAY!), but this one is fully customizable -which is what took me so long-
html is hard for my feeble brain! The only thing I can’t figure out is how to change the way the post date shows up….arrgghh.
But otherwise I’m pretty proud of it!

Today was our weekly playgroup, and our former-attendees H+M were here visiting from Chicago. The kids had SO much fun together! Mom H started a bonfire so everyone could roast marshmallows…loads of fun! We wish H&M could still join us every week! Especially The Girl- she has missed M terribly….
I think because she can relate to the whole life without a sister.
Plus M is that same mix as The Girl- part girly-girl part mud-playing-toughie

I’m working on a new blog for my site as well- a fancy schmancy wordpress blog that’s testing my very limited html skills as I attempt to re-code it to my liking- WHEW it’s making my brain tired- but it’s ALMOST done, or at least done as much as I have the skill to do!
This blog will remain (I think- at least for awhile)- but the one that’s linked from my site will change to the new one once it’s up and running.
