Four weeks old and cute as a button! He was very interested in his surroundings however, and not so interested in falling asleep. That’s the tricky part with newborns- they go from sleeping like rocks 24/7 to unpredictable awake times within only a few short weeks! Clients often ask when scheduling sessions why I plan on 2-3hrs…it seems like a long time, but most of that time is spent waiting for baby to settle in, eat, get changed, etc. I joke it’s 2hrs of waiting and 30min of shooting
You just never know what the baby will be like that day- which is why I’m never in hurry- we’ll take all the time we need!
The great part about Baby H’s mix of asleep vs awake is that we were able to get some great photos of him in both states!
I just love his little half sneer in this one

Sooo snuggly and beautiful!

Happy dreams…

His lips just kill me- sooo stinking cute!

I love his Buddha-like pose in this….(his choice, hee hee)

I think mom and dad will find him sleeping like this for many years to come…

Okay seriously- is she not just the cutest thing?? Those bottom teeth just kill me! Miss *P* was a little unsure of the whole being photographed thing, but she warmed up to it, thanks to her parents great ideas to get her laughing!
I went to grab a few for the sneak peek but couldn’t stop- there just so many adorable ones! So they get an extra few
Must start with my FAVORITE!

Her expression just cracks me up!

Isn’t she sweet?

Look I can walk! (with some help of course…)

With her sweet little doggy

Her two favorite fingers…

Are her eyelashes not divine??

This sweet big sister was SO much fun- talk about chatty! She’d fit in well in my home with my chatterboxes. She was ready to go as soon as I arrived! So while mom and dad got her twin sisters ready- we headed outside and tried to avoid the rain/drizzle.

This twosome are really a miracle. Born over 3months early, due too much sharing (shared the same sac) they are now 6months old and doing great!

The terrific twosome together….

And……we’re done

This family showed dilligence and patience as our 2 prior session attempts were rained out! We finally had success at our 3rd try- and well worth the wait as the weather was PERFECT- you can’t ask for a better evening than we had for the session.
Are these kids not just gorgeous?? And I thought I had blondies!

This pose was the big brother’s idea…and the little sister was adamant they NOT squish her!! Her siblings did a great job of giving her space

Little Miss *L* really made me work for it- but when she finally smiled for me…ahhhhh

I am completely in love with his hair!!! It’s just perfection! And of course he’s a beaut as well and so much fun. 8yr old boys can be tough- but *B* made my job easy-peasy!

And of course Miss *S* who is so much wiser than her mere 6yrs, but at the sheer name of her “boyfriend” broke into the cutest little sheepish grin….

The whole gorgeous family

I must preface this, with the fact that a few years ago my kids were first introduced to it, we gave this “treat” the nickname of “Baby Crack” Because, well, the pure sugar content makes them act like lunatics.
SO- when a few days ago- a large package arrived for my kids from their Uncle Mark and Auntie Sara. I thought “hmmmm what could this be?”
Imagine my surprise to open it- and find THIS:

Yes- that’s right- over 3 POUNDS of baby crack! In giant tubes none the less! 50 of them!
I of course- laughed. And laughed and laughed….only someone WITHOUT kids would think this is a good idea. Of course- being a giant kid himself- my brother knew they’d love it- and he’s right- as my kids literally SCREAMED with joy when I dumped the contents onto the lawn.

So…I wondered, “Just how much is IN each tube?” I did not expect it’d be THIS much!

It literally wouldn’t even all fit in her hands…spilling onto the ground.
So now that it’s out…I guess I had to let them eat it!

It’s even irresistible to the dog….

“This is your dog on crack”

So THANKS brother dear….what I’m going to do with this much crack I don’t know…but you’ve made the kids’ week that’s for sure.
I love you anyway

It’s been awhile since I’ve had a maternity photo session….I’m always in awe of the beauty of pregnancy. I myself, LOVED being pregnant- I’ve often said that the one downside to having triplets is that I only got to be pregnant once instead of 3 times. So now I just have to live vicariously through my friends and clients.
This adorable couple is extra lucky as they are expecting TWINS - genders to be discovered on their birthday
I can’t wait to meet the duo in October/November!

This brother and sister duo were hysterical- talk about personality! I had so much fun capturing their antics
The Dynamic Duo

When I uploaded my files to my computer and saw this one- I instantly laughed- it’s SO the perfect photograph to explain today.

The big brother:

Miss Spunkalicious in her favorite outfit:

If I’ve ever done a photoshoot for you, and you have little ones- you know 1st hand that I have a little bag of tricks I bring along…and usually one or two of them will end up in a photo. This one makes me smile, because Mr. C is the FIRST child to successful guess correctly during my “What animal am I hiding?” game. (I give hints- and they have to guess who’s about to pop out of my bag…”He’s gray..likes to swim in the ocean, has flippers and a tail and says “Arrrrk-Arrrrk”) For some reason my seal has stumped every kid up till now
He was very proud to be the 1st to guess it!

Okay- I admit it…I have a weakness for 2 things when I photograph small children. Feet…and eyelashes
I normally like eyelash shots in b+w but for some reason I’m digging this one in color too….

Okay- I’ll admit it- I cried like a baby when they drove off in that bus…..I was a rock until they hugged me goodbye…then I lost it. MY BABIES!!! How can this be? They were SO excited and so proud…how could I not cry!
So- some pics from their first official day as Kindergartners

Running to the bus- at this point there was no looking back for them- they were so excited!
(And NO we weren’t late- the bus was early!)

Despite my orders to “turn around so I can take a picture!” they were just too excited and clamored right on up! Their driver is very nice- and they, and their friend B, are the only kids on the bus to school! When the bus drove away they were smiling huge and waving from the window….it was too much for me. SOB!

Today the kids visited their school for a “practice day” as my kids called it. They were just there for an hour, and parents stayed. Then afterwards, we went to the mall to get some shirts for school and made a stop at Claire’s!

After we got home- Boy #2 said to her “Now you look like a woman!” I about peed my pants
