A little slow to warm up- but once he did, WOW, his smile and laugh just light up a room! Such a pleasure just to play with him and watch his little mind work. Mr *B* has the honor of being my last client of 2008- I love ending the year on such a fun, happy session!

He did lots of “cooking” of my finger puppets

This makes me laugh- as their dog kept licking him while he rocked on the horse…sooo cute!

This is my personal fave from the day…..

This might be my quickest sneak peek ever! This session was this morning- despite the wicked snowstorm. Now part of the reason of course for the early peek is that I knew the photos were going to be great and I wanted to get a peek at them right away, but also, ahem, it’s because it’s the 1st session with my brand new camera. Now, as my super blog followers know- I named my last camera after the 1st session I did with it- so “Addison” has now been retired to back-up duties…..and I’ll have to decide whether the new one gets the nickname, E, of this sweetie, or perhaps her full name, which starts with a G…:)
Okay- back to the super duper cutie-patootie! Only 5days old, but sweet baby E was a super trooper! She is the most alert 5day old I’ve ever met! She didn’t want to miss a minute of what was going on- but was so content and happy, and showing off her gorgeous eyes. We tried our hardest to get her to sleep- but she just didn’t want any part of it! Amazingly- during her brief 5min snooze I worked fast and did get some great keepers
1st up….okay this one is definitely in the top 3 of my all-time favorite newborn photos. I LOVE it!

Aren’t her eyes just beautiful!!

This is one makes me miss my own babies….

All curled up and briefly asleep

I just love her hands in this one…

S&B thanks for having me over today to photograph your sweet newborn pea- she really is just a perfect little thing! And S’s dad- thanks for assisting with the schlepping of the stuff through the snow! Drive safely back to Michigan!

These two beautiful boys are cousins- only a few months apart which anyone with kids knows, can be a big difference developmentally. Baby *N* who his parents affectionately refer to as “The Garden Gnome” (how stinking cute/adorable is that???) is 7months old- and pretty much sit/stays wherever you put him. Happily. His older cousin *D* who is 11months old is a mover and a shaker that never stops crawling/standing/moving here and there.
First up- the Gnome. Seriously- how can this not make you smile:

Cute little *D*- The Busy Bee:

Photographing these two together was, well, challenging! And while they were never in the same spot for more than a few seconds- we did manage to get this adorable shot of them together!

and one more of *N* because I think it’s too cute with his little tongue

I can’t believe he’s already one year old!!! Time sure flies!
He has the cutest giggle/laugh..I seriously want to bottle it. K & M I really hope you are videotaping him so that you can permanently have it documented!
Seriously- how stinking ADORABLE is he??

I love those toothers!

I can’t explain it- but I just LOVE this capture….

This one makes me laugh…it was right after he tore the wrapping off the present he was sitting on- I think it’s such a “uh-oh I’m busted” look

And to see him as a younger chap- see here and here

This handsome duo are our next door neighbors. Z is officially the oldest “kid” I’ve photographed to date. He’s 15 and newly driving (with a permit of course) and I swear grows a foot a year! His brother M is one of my kids favorite people in the whole world. They adore him. He’s taught them how to skateboard, climb trees, and has truly been a wonderful role model for them….there aren’t many 12yr olds that will give a gaggle of 6yr olds the time of day- much less actually play with them, teach them things and in general be nice to them. His only flaw is that he’s a Packer fan….oh well
We really do feel so lucky to have such great boys living right next door- we can only hope that our two boys will grow up to be so kind and considerate!

And of course their dog….who reminds our dog daily just how slow and not-agile he is. He runs CIRCLES around our poor doggers…. but our dog still steals all his toys when he can

I have had the pleasure of knowing this family since 1991- thanks to a random lottery dorm room assignment
3 of these 5 boys belong to one of my college “roomies” and the other 2 are her younger sister’s. 5 boys all 4 and under. What fun the holidays are for them!
The whole crew:

Seriously one of the sweetest kids I’ve ever known…he’s the nicest big brother and SO patient and loving…

Okay- I know it’s not nice…but this one makes me LAUGH!! It’s very much the face I got for most of the photosession and just screams “Hi I’m TWO”

I. Want. To. Squoooooooosh. Him. Hard to believe that a mere 5months ago THIS was him!

Happy Mr. A- isn’t his smile sooooo adorable!!! He has grown SO much SO fast!! THIS was him in July!

and his big brother- who is such a hoot! Mr. Personality!

He’s only been in our house for two days, but it’s been a HOOT so far!! Now he’s not the “official” little guy- I headed to The General Store in Minnetonka (which if you’ve never been to and live in the Twin Cities you really should check it out- esp during the holiday- it’s awesome) intending to buy the offical little guy- but instead found this one- who’s really an ornament, but he was only $7 (compared to the real elf w/book for $30) He’s about 10″ tall and totally poseable- PERFECT! Plus I think he’s much cuter than the other one.
For those not familiar with the story- basically Santa send a scout elf, to hang out in the house and keep on eye on the kids to see if they are being “naughty or nice” and then every night- once they are asleep he returns to the North Pole to give Santa a report. Then the next morning he’s back- BUT in a totally different spot. So it’s a fun little hide-n-seek game. We told the kids that one of the rules from Santa is that they can’t touch the elf
It’s been a hoot so far- they randomly talk to him- tell him things and even fess up to things to him. They also think he’s really cute and want to know what he eats, what his name is, etc…. only grown ups can hear him, so Mark and I can report what he’s saying
So if you have any good elf names- let me know!
