I love his hair so much I can hardly STAND it!! At 3wks of age Mr. J was a little older than most newborns I photograph. With this age you never know how they will be for a photo session, as they typically are less agreeable to being posed and moved around- but Mr. J was SUCH a little sweetheart he made my job easy-peasy. He’s so adorable I could have stared at him all day long!

I love knit blankets- and always bring some along- but this one his mom had pulled out for the session and it’s just PERFECT!! The knit is such a nice soft texture, and the colors are just perfect for his hair and skin. 

I just love his mouth here…

Sigh…..

Seriously- how snuggly cute is he!!?

This might be my fave….something about his hair, and the way his little butt is up in the air- like it surely will be for years when he’s sleeping…..

Thanks M for letting me photograph your sweet little punkin- he was such a joy!

Mr. C, like most one-year olds was a little unsure of me when I first arrived…..but after a little while he warmed up and boy oh boy does this little guy have a GREAT smile and laugh! His whole face just lights up! What a cutie patootie!

These last two are my personal faves from the day…..I want to gobble him up! While I do love the photographs with big happy grins, there’s something about the more serious looks that just speak to my heart.

H & M and Big Brother J are awaiting the arrival of a new baby boy! Photographing maternity sessions always makes me nostalgic…it’s such an amazing time, and never do you feel more womanly

When H showed me this shirt she designed herself at CustomizedGirl.com – I LOVED it!!! I love funky clothes in general for sessions, but especially for maternity sessions they just add a great element

When you live in MN- you really have to embrace the weather- and I think kids can do this better than anyone. Fresh snow, even in really cold temps, just begs to be played in! After school the kids and their friends A&J had a blast playing outside.

I think keeping your tongue out is a requirement when it’s snowing…

Mmmm…..I know some people say you shouldn’t let kids eat snow. But I say BALONEY to that.

A few of the beast. He just came back from the groomer so is looking extra lovely. PLUS he’s lost 11lbs since a year ago! He’s on diet dog food in hopes that being skinny will help with his knee and hip issues. He’s still got about 5 to go to be “svelt” I know it’s hard to tell w/all that fur….

3month old and almost 3 yr old brothers Baby E I think is the biggest 3m old I’ve ever met! At the rate he’s growing he’s going to be a tall one!  Big brother O is a great helper and has such a super smile while he’s chatting you up. Sometimes 3yr olds are a little reserved- but not O! He’s definitely an extravert!
 

He can’t *quite* hold his head up well on his tummy- but he’s almost there- and thankfully my camera is fast!

I just love his expression here…

Big brother O

The kids went sledding with their 3 cousins on Saturday, on the “famous Chaska sledding hill” – they had a TON of fun racing down that hill and only ran over a few innocent bystanders….
