Sometimes my life as a photographer is just extra easy……meet 6 month old baby J – who not only is the CUTEST thing- with that perfect little punkin head and big blue eyes- but also has a home that is a photographers dream. Every single room in their home has the most amazing natural light!! My fellow photogs know what I mean when I say my heart skipped as I walked around their home

Okay- back to the sweet little miss. 6 months is one of my favorite ages/stages to photograph. They just have that “Gerber Baby” look to them that could make anyone’s heart melt.

Remember this lovely belly from the other week?

Well the very next day after that photo was taken- baby *I* was welcomed into this world! He didn’t waste any time after the maternity photo session. Here he is now at 7days of age. I thought it would be fun to do a shot in the same spot

Sometimes- when I’m out shopping I see something that I think would be good for a photo session- a few days after this little guy’s maternity session- I was at Target and saw this blanket- and realized it PERFECTLY matched the little-one-to-be’s awaiting nursery- so just had to buy it since I knew a newborn session was coming soon. His mom pulled out this little hat that a friend had made and sent her:

Sweet baby I was a super client- slept pretty much the entire 3hrs I was there:

This sweet little pea slept like an angel for our whole photo session- so calm and relaxed! Perhaps it was the fabulous spring sunshine that made her so happy… whatever the reason, she was a dream to photograph

It’s hard to believe that it was over a year ago I was racing to Waconia in the middle of the night to be there to photograph his birth into this world. Truly an experience I will never ever forget In the past year I’ve had the honor of photographing him at several milestones- and now he’s turned one! 

He has the most amazing blue eyes…

This momma to be was 40wks at our session- and still moving around beautifully with a perfect round belly and not a stretch mark on her!! They do not know whether Baby *I* will be a boy or a girl, but he/she sure will be joining a loving family with a big sister who can’t wait to meet them. This session, and the newborn session will be a surprise gift for Father’s Day…isn’t that just the sweetest idea??? I bet he’s going to LOVE it!

I had the pleasure of photographing sweet Mr. F when he was 6m, 9months and now he’s ONE! He’s such a little sweetie, I’ve really enjoyed watching him grow. Photographing him with his mom and dad is always a joy as they just adore their little man and the way his face lights up when his mom sings, or dad tosses him in the air…it’s just priceless.

One year old sessions are among my favorites because it’s a great age to photograph children in their environment doing the things they love. This time is so fleeting….and I love to document the details.
