It seemed just the other day I was shooting their maternity photos- and now she’s here! When I walked in and saw her for the 1st time I couldn’t get over her perfectly pouty lips and amazing lashes!! What a beautiful little sweetpea

When her mom pulled out this headband I couldn’t stop giggling- how much more girly can you get- LOVE it!! It will be so fun to see how she grows with it- I can just picture her at her 2yr old photosession wearing the same headband

What a fun fun FUN session! It was a double session, combining both a newborn photoshoot and her twin sisters 3yr old photos. 3 beautiful girls- shy but sweet as can be

First up- the big sisters! When mom told me how they love to fly around the yard with their fairy wings- I thought what a GREAT idea to use them in the photosession!

Summer evening sessions are by far my favorite….there’s just something about the light and the air in the early evening hours…so lovely. M was a blast for our session- your typical 3yr old always on the move! Her mom brought along some bubbles which was definitely a huge hit!

In only a few short weeks this happy couple will be welcoming a new little love into their lives. I love being asked to maternity sessions…it’s just an amazing time and so beautiful to document.

Despite the less than ideal weather- this family was so filled with love for each other that it made the session feel like a sunshiney  day!

I typically don’t use actual names on my blog, with the one exception being my friends’ newborns- I pretty much always out them THIS is the newest little love to our little close-knit group of friends. I’ve known his mom for….um….over 20yrs (WOW) and she’s one of my favorite people on the planet, and I’m so happy for her and her hubby that my heart could burst

So meet 10day old Jacob:

Someday I WANT a scale just like this….2+ years ago when I photographed Jacob’s brother as a newborn (seen here ) I saw this on their table and HAD to use it for the photographs. So this time- when they drove from WI to here for the session they brought it with them- I was SO excited. Thanks A’s mom for letting me use it again (and, ahem, when you’re done with it you know where you can donate it to….maybe someday?? )

As a first for me, I was able to photograph this ADORABLE little guy on his ACTUAL birthday! Doesn’t he have the most gorgeous brown eyes?!

So stinking CUTE!

Since it was his birthday his mom had the fun idea of doing some cake smash photographs so baked him some yummy cupcakes and while some kids are a little unsure of the whole cake/frosting thing- he sure was not

I met these two at a local park and knew instantly when Miss L ran up to me cheerfully yelling “Amy!” (keep in mind we’d never met before) that it was going to be a FUN session!

Mr H was a little less extraverted but just so delightfully charming

At the park we were at there is a giant tube slide (like HUGE) and Mr H was eager and happy to go down, but Miss L was more cautious- she finally went down when her mom agreed to go with her- I LOVE this capture:

The annual 4th of July photograph in front of our hosta garden….

Mr. J was ready to rock and roll as soon as I got there. His mom had told me that he can be a little shy, but this was definitely NOT the case that evening! 3 yrs old and full of energy and personality- he was a complete HOOT to photograph I love 3yr olds because they are always sooooo funny- and nothing is funnier to them than their own antics
