This month, I headed to our local library with my boys.
The girl was not along as she was home cleaning her pigsty room.
Sometimes following though with consequences sucks as a parent.
But we carried on without her!

Now, our local library is AWESOME. It’s small, and cute, and has this amazing little kids corner that’s a partnership between the library and the MN Children’s Museum. So while at the library, your little one can develop some pre-reading skills. Kids can plant a garden, visit a farmer’s market, make a silhouette puppet show, have a picnic and other fun activities.

Now this trip was typical for us, one 9yr old boy immediate (like I’m talking less than 5min) found a stack of books he was interested in. While the other 9yr old spent an hour talking to the librarian about things he was interested in, and looked, and looked, and looked……. which is why he only appears in the beginning and end of this picture story.
Because every photo of him would look like this first one.

Yes. Ninja Frogs. Of course!

This month’s story fell into my lap. Courtesy of these two boys of mine.

Right now, our house is all about Legos. I mean- All. About. Legos.
They play them constantly, everyday, and build really fun things.

This is my two boys the lego fanatics. And yes, their hair always looks like that. I don’t know why they even own hairbrushes.

Now, typically, the boys spend their time building, playing with, and acting out scenes along this line…..

Well…this week, the boys came to me and said “Will you be our wedding photographer?”
I was confused, until they told me they were having a Lego wedding.
A Lego wedding? Oh what brilliant fun!!! I have no idea what sparked this idea, but it was awesome.
Their sister was the “wedding coordinator” and designed the wedding location (a park of course) and also made the wedding cake. And of course micro-managed most of the seating arrangements. I gleeful played photographer….and will admit I might have had a little too much fun….but regardless, I bring you, my FIRST ever wedding as a photographer….

The Wedding of Ben & Izzy

My favorite elements (ALL my kids doing btw) is that a certain north pole person is a wedding guest, along with a random leashed dog. There’s a variety of men in headwear. AND they made some of the guests “cry” at the ceremony.
And seriously Izzy, that’s some rock Ben gave you!

This was a fun one- and something I’ve been meaning to do for a few months now, which is exactly why it fits perfectly into this project! Capturing the little moments in my kids lives…. I’ve always been a mom who’s a fan of kitchen sink bathtime. It’s easy, no bending, and come on….it’s so crazy cute! Now that the 4th Pea can sit safely on his own, his baths are always in the kitchen sink. This, is a peak into that… I want to remember the way he loves his toy duckies…his long baby hair…his chubby little dimpled hands…his amazing long lashes…his cute little froggy towel..and that bottom lip, oh that bottom lip…the way it sticks out and how I want to kiss it. every. time. I crazy love that little lippy…
