Newborn Baby Riley

This sweet little peanut is baby boy #2 for my awesome friend Kim and was born on Valentines Day! I had the pleasure of photographing her 1st born only 2yrs ago- and it’s amazing how much the two boys look alike! Riley looks SO much like his big brother! He was only 5days old for the session and was a great little trooper for being so new in the world!

I love the little swirl of hair on the top of his head.

He preferred to have his hands up by his face- perhaps it’s how he spent his time inside

Once he fell asleep we had him model lots of hats for me- it was a hoot! There’s just something about fuzzy hats in the winter time that make me smile.

Thanks Kim and Bob- congrats again- he’s really just an adorable little guy!

St. Paul Sweeties – Newborn Twins

Brother-Sister twins a mere 11days old. Photographing one newborn can be challenging, but twins is an extra fun challenge! These two were a hoot- already at less than 2wks old are affirming their differences. Brother likes to be all snuggled up nice and tight, Sister likes to sprawl out and especially prefers to have her legs and feet free to kick and stretch and not be cuddled up with her brother. It’ll be fun to see if as she gets older she continues to want her space from her brother like she did today:)

The Duo

I love how she has her arm around him:)

Mr. A

Miss L

2 sets of adorable feet and toes:)

J & J thanks for allowing me to photograph your tiny sweet peas- they are so beautiful!

The North Shore

This past weekend I had the pleasure of heading up to Lake Superior with some fellow moms for some lovely R&R. The weather was great and the scenery just spectacular! I love nature photography but often forget to make the time to get out and do some……so it was a very soul satisfying weekend for me in that regards. Photos from Gooseberry Falls and Lake Superior just north of Two Harbors.

I forgot about you taking al l those photos–BEE-YOU-TI-FUL. Love the ice-capped rocks shot portrait. Would like to see more B/W too!

Newborn Sweetheart

I love his hair so much I can hardly STAND it!! At 3wks of age Mr. J was a little older than most newborns I photograph. With this age you never know how they will be for a photo session, as they typically are less agreeable to being posed and moved around- but Mr. J was SUCH a little sweetheart he made my job easy-peasy. He’s so adorable I could have stared at him all day long!:)

I love knit blankets- and always bring some along- but this one his mom had pulled out for the session and it’s just PERFECT!! The knit is such a nice soft texture, and the colors are just perfect for his hair and skin.

I just love his mouth here…

Seriously- how snuggly cute is he!!?

This might be my fave….something about his hair, and the way his little butt is up in the air- like it surely will be for years when he’s sleeping…..

“The Thinker”:)

Thanks M for letting me photograph your sweet little punkin- he was such a joy!

C is for Cutie-Patootie

Mr. C, like most one-year olds was a little unsure of me when I first arrived…..but after a little while he warmed up and boy oh boy does this little guy have a GREAT smile and laugh! His whole face just lights up! What a cutie patootie!

All kids just love to climb and play on mom&dad’s bed don’t they?

With his daddy- I love his mouth/lips in this one:)

Snuggling with mommy

The whole family- his big sister is a fabulous helper and so sweet with her baby brother!

These last two are my personal faves from the day…..I want to gobble him up! While I do love the photographs with big happy grins, there’s something about the more serious looks that just speak to my heart.

Snowy Day Fun!

When you live in MN- you really have to embrace the weather- and I think kids can do this better than anyone. Fresh snow, even in really cold temps, just begs to be played in! After school the kids and their friends A&J had a blast playing outside.

J about to throw a snowball at our dog. Who LOVES this.

The Girl and A sledding to the bottom of the hill.

I really need to get him “real” snowboarding….he loves it so much. (Ahem SCOTTY)

King of the mountain…

I think keeping your tongue out is a requirement when it’s snowing…

Mmmm…..I know some people say you shouldn’t let kids eat snow. But I say BALONEY to that.

A few of the beast. He just came back from the groomer so is looking extra lovely. PLUS he’s lost 11lbs since a year ago! He’s on diet dog food in hopes that being skinny will help with his knee and hip issues. He’s still got about 5 to go to be “svelt”:)I know it’s hard to tell w/all that fur….:)

Gretchen - Wednesday, January 21, 2009 - 7:51 pm

Nicole Z - Thursday, January 22, 2009 - 1:14 pm

3+3 = Cuteness!

3month old and almost 3 yr old brothers:)Baby E I think is the biggest 3m old I’ve ever met! At the rate he’s growing he’s going to be a tall one!  Big brother O is a great helper and has such a super smile while he’s chatting you up. Sometimes 3yr olds are a little reserved- but not O! He’s definitely an extravert!:)

He can’t *quite* hold his head up well on his tummy- but he’s almost there- and thankfully my camera is fast!

I just love his expression here…

Such a sweet smile!

Big brother O:)
