Best. Hair. EVER. Minneapolis Brothers

I don’t know who wins- *L* and his gorgeous red hair, or his little brother *R* and his amazing windswept ‘do. They are both so stinking cute they had me grinning for the whole session with their sweet, happy, joyous personalities. The day was overcast which gave us perfect lighting for enjoying this notorious Mpls park.

Seriously…his hair…just sooooo cute:)

This was the very last image I captured and I think it might be my favorite:)

Love the fly hair, so typical of a little bit of baby hair left that has those charachteristics.
The one with mom and big brother is beautiful as well.

Newborn Baby *A*- Pretty In Pink

It seems lately the newborns I’ve photographed have been of good size- it’s been awhile since I’ve had a little one! Isn’t she just the cutest thing! A few weeks old but very accommodating of my “arranging” her for photographs. I’ve been WAITING for awhile to have a teeny baby girl to try the shot in the pettiskirt so was very excited to be able to do it!

Little Pumpkin!

They won’t stay curled up like this for long….but I do love it when they do.

Of course baby feet….my blog followers know I have a soft spot for baby feet:)

I will admit to having a weakness for this pose….I just love it, and it’s HARD to do with wobbly newborns so when it works my heart does a little happy dance:)

diana simpson - Thursday, October 2, 2008 - 2:49 pm

these are just wonderful!

Jen - Thursday, October 2, 2008 - 3:25 pm

Anna-Karin - Thursday, October 2, 2008 - 10:29 pm

aboutimage - Monday, October 6, 2008 - 7:53 am

Wow, your newborn pics are stunning!

Sweet Newborn Baby *H*

Four weeks old and cute as a button! He was very interested in his surroundings however, and not so interested in falling asleep. That’s the tricky part with newborns- they go from sleeping like rocks 24/7 to unpredictable awake times within only a few short weeks! Clients often ask when scheduling sessions why I plan on 2-3hrs…it seems like a long time, but most of that time is spent waiting for baby to settle in, eat, get changed, etc. I joke it’s 2hrs of waiting and 30min of shooting:)You just never know what the baby will be like that day- which is why I’m never in hurry- we’ll take all the time we need!

The great part about Baby H’s mix of asleep vs awake is that we were able to get some great photos of him in both states!:)

I just love his little half sneer in this one:)

Sooo snuggly and beautiful!

Happy dreams…

His lips just kill me- sooo stinking cute!

I love his Buddha-like pose in this….(his choice, hee hee)

I think mom and dad will find him sleeping like this for many years to come…

Jen Lane - Wednesday, September 24, 2008 - 10:58 pm

GREAT shots, again. Also, LOVE Killing the Blues! I just wish Robert would finish his tour with Krauss so Led Zeppelin can get to touring! : )

Sweet 1yr old Miss *P*

Okay seriously- is she not just the cutest thing?? Those bottom teeth just kill me! Miss *P* was a little unsure of the whole being photographed thing, but she warmed up to it, thanks to her parents great ideas to get her laughing!

I went to grab a few for the sneak peek but couldn’t stop- there just so many adorable ones! So they get an extra few:)

Must start with my FAVORITE!

Her expression just cracks me up!

Isn’t she sweet?

Look I can walk! (with some help of course…)

With her sweet little doggy

Her two favorite fingers…

Are her eyelashes not divine??

teri mason - Tuesday, September 23, 2008 - 11:56 am

Desiree Hayes - Wednesday, October 1, 2008 - 5:39 pm

Soo cute!! What a fun shoot. I love her little dress!

[...] old client I had the honor of photographing her big sister last year for her 1st birthday, (click here to see how much she’s changed!) and now they’ve been blessed with another little girl [...]

1 plus 2

This sweet big sister was SO much fun- talk about chatty! She’d fit in well in my home with my chatterboxes. She was ready to go as soon as I arrived! So while mom and dad got her twin sisters ready- we headed outside and tried to avoid the rain/drizzle.

This twosome are really a miracle. Born over 3months early, due too much sharing (shared the same sac) they are now 6months old and doing great!

The terrific twosome together….

And……we’re done:)

lindseydy - Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 10:29 pm

Amber - Monday, September 22, 2008 - 7:21 pm

These are adorable! What beautiful little miracles, love the last one of them passed out and the first one of their adorable big sis. :-)

3rd Time’s The Charm!

This family showed dilligence and patience as our 2 prior session attempts were rained out! We finally had success at our 3rd try- and well worth the wait as the weather was PERFECT- you can’t ask for a better evening than we had for the session.

Are these kids not just gorgeous?? And I thought I had blondies!

This pose was the big brother’s idea…and the little sister was adamant they NOT squish her!! Her siblings did a great job of giving her space:D

Little Miss *L* really made me work for it- but when she finally smiled for me…ahhhhh

I am completely in love with his hair!!! It’s just perfection! And of course he’s a beaut as well and so much fun. 8yr old boys can be tough- but *B* made my job easy-peasy!

And of course Miss *S* who is so much wiser than her mere 6yrs, but at the sheer name of her “boyfriend” broke into the cutest little sheepish grin….

The whole gorgeous family

Great photos…………..Job well done……beautifull family proto….bye the bye they are my grand kids

Baby Crack (aka my brother is evil)

I must preface this, with the fact that a few years ago my kids were first introduced to it, we gave this “treat” the nickname of “Baby Crack” Because, well, the pure sugar content makes them act like lunatics.

SO- when a few days ago- a large package arrived for my kids from their Uncle Mark and Auntie Sara. I thought “hmmmm what could this be?”

Imagine my surprise to open it- and find THIS:

Yes- that’s right- over 3 POUNDS of baby crack! In giant tubes none the less! 50 of them!

I of course- laughed. And laughed and laughed….only someone WITHOUT kids would think this is a good idea. Of course- being a giant kid himself- my brother knew they’d love it- and he’s right- as my kids literally SCREAMED with joy when I dumped the contents onto the lawn.

So…I wondered, “Just how much is IN each tube?” I did not expect it’d be THIS much!

It literally wouldn’t even all fit in her hands…spilling onto the ground.
So now that it’s out…I guess I had to let them eat it!

It’s even irresistible to the dog….

“This is your dog on crack”

So THANKS brother dear….what I’m going to do with this much crack I don’t know…but you’ve made the kids’ week that’s for sure.

I love you anyway:)

Laura Veraska - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 7:00 am

omg…totally made my morning!! perfect!!
these must be a storyboard made of these!

Jeanette - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 7:12 am

OMW, I can just imagine the mess :)

Allison - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 7:39 am

I was smiling as I read it and followed along through the pix but that last one of the dog made me laugh out loud! OMG!!! Love it…

Chastity - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 7:41 am

Holy Pixie Sticks Batman! I hope there is some way that you can return the favor? Great Pics as always..

Uncle Mark - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 9:11 am

I’m glad they liked it!

Are there any pictures of them after they ate it, or were they just blurs of motion? :-D

Oh, Auntie Sara wants everyone to know that she had nothing to do with it…
My evil tendencies come out sometimes. ;-)

Tiona - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 1:04 pm

I really enjoyed these images! The last shot had me rolling!!

Keri - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 2:02 pm

Oh I love this! What a great story board! “Baby Crack” is a huge hit around here as well ~ even my DH eats the stuff. LOL

Steph - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 4:00 pm

but did anyone else notice that amy put the kids in all blue shirts and had them open the blue tube? very crafty.
kids get what they want – and mom gets some awesome pictures.

this, my friend, is an excellent use of bribery :)

Holli - Friday, September 19, 2008 - 5:23 pm

Oh my goodness!!! This is a riot! I love the dog eating it too.

Amy Siggelkow Duffing - Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 2:23 am

Steph you know what’s funny- that’s TOTALLY unintentional! :) lol
The blue shirts are school uniform and I honestly just grabbed a tube out of the box and didn’t even think about what color it was…

But- had I been thinking I would have picked orange. Better contrast :)

Steph - Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 10:43 am

Well, there’s still time. How many more tubes of crack? BTW – you’re much nicer than I am. I would have “dropped” the box into the trash before BAT ever saw it! Of course, mine are the same kids who would NOT let me take them to Dunkin Donuts before school yesterday “because the principal said we can’t have any sugar at school!”

Julie - Saturday, September 20, 2008 - 2:27 pm

LOL, love the dog getting in on it. Holy cow that is a lot of baby crack, YUCK, not sure i could eat it!!!

Rach - Sunday, September 21, 2008 - 7:34 pm

LOL. . . love the shots, especially the last shot of F – too funny! :-D Yep, ya gotta love the “sugar” arrivals, huh?!

Kami Voiles - Monday, September 29, 2008 - 12:36 am

LOL That is sooo funny! Your dog even loved it! I used to LOVE pixy stix…straight sugar though for sure..I’m sure your kids were wiild crazy after this! So cute though! Love all the pictures – especially with them all sharing the huge pile in your girls hands. hehe
