Grilled Lemon-Basil Salmon

4 salmon filets (about 1.5lbs total- 5-6oz each)
salt+pepper
2 T minced fresh basil
2 T chopped fresh chives
1 T balsamic vinegar
1 T fresh lemon zest
2 tsp olive oil
 
Heat grill. Sprinkle salmon with S+P.
In a small bowl, stir together all remaining ingredients.
Oil grate well. Place salmon, skin side up, on gas grill over medium heat. 
Cover grill and cook for 6minutes, turn and top with basil mixture.
Grill another 4-6minutes until salmon just begins to flake.
This is our favorite way to grill salmon. Another GREAT option is instead of the lemon-basil mixture, it to instead top with fresh pesto. It’s decadent!
